Mariachi
Costa de Oro is a non-profit, community group, made up of educators, retired librarian,
computer programmer, retired painter, students, and people involved in the produce and
manufacturing industries. Our current membership includes musicians ranging from 18 to 76
years of age.
We have come
together with a common purpose and interest. We play for the love of the music!
We promote diversity and acceptance. But, most importantly, we demonstrate
pride for this beautiful attribute of the Mexican culture that is cherished throughout the
world.
We enjoy performing
in the greater San Buenaventura County area including Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Camarillo,
Ventura, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. We do birthday parties, quinceañeras,
wedding receptions, Cinco de Mayo and El Día de los Muertos celebrations and others!

PLEASE NOTE
We will be taking a brief time off
from accepting performance engagements as we search for new musicians, primarily
violinists. Please check back with us periodically for further notice or let us know
if you are interested in joining us. |
Mariachi Costa de Oro currently has openings for
violin players. Please consider joining us for great fun, a stimulating learning
environment and camaraderie! Spanish language skills are not required, though can be
helpful. We meet weekly to practice under the direction and instruction of an
excellent and talented musician!
If interested call Brenda at
805-981-4620 or Mundo at 805-484-0044.
